Avalon
Known as "The Western Forest", Avalon is the kingdom of magic. One's role within the kingdom is determined by their aptitude for magic, due to this, it is normal for parents to pray and offer goods to the gods in return for their children to be born gifted and for them to start a family with others of similar status.
At the top of this social hierarchy are those who were born with magic, these are the ones that decide and impose the rules, they are, in a way, seen as superior since they were born different and so, worthy of such importance. Beneath them are those who were born without magic, people within this circle decide to take it upon themselves to learn alchemy so that they can still be of use to the kingdom.
The nickname "Western Forest" originates from a forbidden forest that surrounds Fintan's Grave, where those who venture more often than not never return, those who come back, do so altered mentally and physically. Locals near the area fear it and pray for anyone who dares to enter. When someone dies in Avalon, their body quickly vanishes. Some claim this is due to the land absorbing their magic, accelerating decay. Others suspect darker forces at play.
